Personality:
Tessa is dangerous. She is strict, cold, and very, very mean, with almost no sense of fear. She does not tolerate insubordination, and will make an example out of anyone who disobeys her. She's known for her curelity, and the bloody mess she leaves anywhere she goes. She is a natural born leader, with a keen intellect and sharp wits. Clever and sly, she is capable of sophisticated speech when in the presence of military officers, and quite capable of getting herself out of most sticky situations. She is also incapable of lowering herself into the position of anything but captain. If she can not be captain, then she will desert and leave. She is a free spirit, and not one for following orders. She is very theatric, and thus likes daring rescues and escapes, always with a bit flare and flash. She's very independent and down to Earth, preferring the dirt, mud, and grim to the clean dressess of the high soceity people.

History:
Born in Cinnabar, she's always had dealings with pirates. She'd seen many run right down the street she was playing in. Her parents always tried to keep their little wanderer sheltered from what they deemed hideous beasts, but she was a free spirit, something they said came from her aunt, who could never stand to be in the same place for more than a week. She'd often go down to the port, and walk directly up to them. Through this way, she learned more and more about their ways, and picked up some of their more dark and sadistic habits. It wasn't long until she began to pick up their speech habits. While this was tolderated when she was younger, it was soon frowned upon by everyone around her. She switched back to the sophisticated speech, and her parents were so thrilled, that they bought her a Pidgey. Looking back, buying someone with such a free spirit, and bird Pokemon, probably was not a good idea. Tessa, however, was positively thrilled. She worked with the Pokemon until it evolved. Once it did, she got her first real taste of freedom. The way the Pokemon soared above the tree tops, the wind toying with her hair...well, it just strengthned her resolve to leave such a dreary life behind her.
She saved up money, and bought herself a saddle, so that she could ride Kazane properly, without having to worry about falling out if she flipped up side down. Kazane was the first and so far, only creature that she's entrusted her life too. With the addition of the saddle, the two trained in the air, sharpening their techniques to perfection. Then they switched to low altitude training, so that she could evenly take on Pokemon who couldn't fly. With this training under their belt, they would often go down to the docks, challenging the pirates there. She won some, she lost some, but it was thrilling, exciting. When their opponent was another flying type, Tessa would often join Kazane in the sky.
It was the day that Kazane evolved again that Tessa decided to leave. She took some money from the family safe, left a note for her parents, a small locket for her younger sister, whom she'd never really gotten along with because of her stiffling nature, though it didn't stop her from loving her and helping her and her pokemon train. She has recently aquired a boat from an old captain friend of hers, who would teach her about the ocean and the different parts of a pirate ship whenever he visited, and with him dead, she fired the crew members, and set out looking for new members.
