Personality: Sagirah's a quiet person, but not by choice. Being born both mute and albino has given her a much more open and tolerant view of the world. Indeed, she's naturally curious about other cultures and belief systems, even going far enough to beg the other person to teach her their beliefs. Though she is unable to voice her feelings, Sagirah is very expressive, almost to the point of exaggeration. You can tell just what emotion Sagirah is experiencing, just by looking at her facial expressions or reading her body language. However, that's not to say that she is a completely open book. If she wants to, she can just as easily "shut down" and assume a more impassive exterior, concealing the turmoil within.
Of course, the odds of that happening are very slim. Sagirah is far too naive, too trusting (some would argue gullible and stupid) not to be completely honest with everyone she meets. This often gets her into all kinds of trouble, leading some to wrongfully paint her as a mischievous, troublemaking prankster. While she does enjoy the odd trick here and there, it is all in good fun, and she never means to harm anyone out of it. Even when people end up harming her, Sagirah hands out second, third, and even fourth and fifth chances the way a trainer readily hands Rare Candies to their pets.

History: Sagirah was born May 25th after nearly 14 hours of strenuous labor. The abnormally long amount of time it took for her to enter the world, coupled with her mother's inadequate ventilation, caused the albino female to suffer from oxygen deprivation, robbing her of her speech and causing slight developmental delays in her mind. After cradling her new child in her arms, Zahra smiled fondly at her strange-looking baby and whispered "Sagirah..." before her grip slackened and she stopped breathing. Sikandar, meanwhile, was devastated. His wife was dead, and it was his fault. Now all he had left was his Pokemon and this...deathly white thing he was supposed to call his daughter.
As a farmer, Sikandar fully expected Sagirah to either marry a nice merchant boy (for with her odd looks and lack of speech, he could never hope for her to ascend any higher than the middle class, and even that was a stretch) or to become a farmer herself. Sagirah's lack of pigmentation, however, made her father's wish for an heir unattainable. Yet she also needed to help him "bring the bacon home," so to speak. Fortunately, he managed to solve this problem by giving her the job of a courier - delivering messages in the middle of the night to avoid sunburn and detection. Sure, it was a high-risk job, with all those pirates running about (and Sagirah often did get mugged), but it was also high-pay precisely because of the risk associated with it. As long as Sikandar received half of the profits, he couldn't care less about what happened to his estranged daughter.
And that was perfectly fine by her.
'Pets':
Rafiq, Male
Summary: Rafiq means "kind friend" in Arabic, and that is a perfect way to describe the Abra. He is Sagirah's closest and truest companion, always getting her out of trouble with his handy Teleport technique. Sagirah found her pet as a malnourished, abused creature on the brink of death. Her father, initially against allowing such a filthy creature into his house, reluctantly accepted him after he saw how happy his daughter was with that mangy little Abra. Ever since then, the two have been inseperable. Though Rafiq is largely a pacifist like his owner and does not enjoy fighting, he will not hesitate to punch the nearest person in order to ensure Sagirah's safety.
