Personality: A hard-headed individual that is extremely dedicated to the military process and it's heirarchy. His behavior can range from the dutiful, serious-faced Sergeant, to the rage infused youth that surfaces from time to time. He is an aggressive individual that isn't afraid of stomping on you to get to the top, but will give a bit of leeway to those in higher command. His life is the military; he is a very rigid, no-nonsense type of man, but that rage can get in the way of many things.

History: Jakome is the result of a secret affair, between a higher-up of the military and an upperclass woman. He is a bastard son, quickly forgotten by his seafaring father. Katarzyna never told anyone who the father was, except for her son - when he was but a boy, yearning to go to sea. She thought, wished, and hoped that the story of his creation would deterr him. Perhaps make him loath his father and stay on dry land with her; but it was hopeless. The Salbatore blood in his veins was drawn to the water, to the military, and the boy was quick to leave. He fled to Sunyshore City at the age of twelve, trying to manipulate his way on to a ship or in to the military. Of course, this was impossible - nobody was going to allow a twelve year old boy filled with a false bravado, on to a ship, let alone in to the prestigious militia.
He wouldn't let anyone stop him, however. Jakome went back to his home in Canalave City and began working hard to build himself up, to make himself a valuable asset to the military of Sinnoh. At the age of sixteen he enlisted, and from that point on his family was the military. He abandoned his mother the same way Broderick left her, and didn't realize the toll it would take upon her spirit. It didn't matter to the youth - he was going to find his father, to prove his worth, and live a life on the high seas.
The boy worked hard, very hard, and climbed the ranks quickly. By the time he was in his mid twenties, he had reached the status of Corporal. He was moved often between the cities and the regions, learning to adapt to new situations and the new areas. Still, Jakome's main goal was to find his father, so on his downtime he tried to track him down. It wasn't long after his arrival in Johto during a routine patrol, that he learned of his father's wereabouts. Broderick Salbatore was said to be located in Goldenrod City; so he headed there, his bottled rage and general lulsy issues, boiling up beneath the surface. When he arrived he didn't find what he had expected. The location of his father had been correct, but while Jakome had expected to search in the massive port-area or the surrounding buildings, he was told to follow a path to the wilderness outside of the town. There, he found a massive graveyard with special military graves; they lined the hillside like scales, with his father being one of the countless tombstones.
Jakome headed back to the military after that, disheartened and destructive. He continued his work but his attitude and behavior have put him on the short list for discharge; perhaps after his career is over, he will become a pirate? For now he is busy being a reckless, damaged boy in the body of a worn out adult.

Name: Ramiel
History: This Pokemon was given to Jakome when he left Canalave, and was then indoctrinated in to the Sinnoh military alongside him, as an Elekid. He evolved only a few months ago, but has been with Jakome from the start. They have a bond as most trainers-vs-Pokemon do, but this Electabuzz appears to have his own agenda. Or at least, very little drive to do anything that isn't military related. He keeps Jakome in line, and not the other way around.
Name: Pythius
History: Given to Jakome as a token of appreciation for his gained rank, when he reached the Corporal status. They have been together since then, but Pythius is not too happy about it - he has the spirit of a pirate, a scoundrel, and would rather ignore the man's duties and do his own thing.

Reason For Joining: After learning of his bastardized creation, Jakome decided to seek out his father. He originally enlisted in Sinnoh but ended up in Johto, as per a special request. The name of Salbatore seemed to hold some weight in the ranks, which surprised him - but then, once Jakome reached Johto, he learned that his father had died earlier in the year. Jakome remained in Johto because he is torn: feeling a strong sense of duty to this aggressive lifestyle, and a deeply rooted feeling of abandonment that makes him want to destroy the family name. It isn't his family after all.
