"Ain't it nice out, Aquila?"
The redhead questioned to the steel bird Pokemon as she ran a hand through her long, shimmering hair. The gentle breeze softly played with her locks of hair, which glowed a deep red in the shining sun. It was truly a nice day to enjoy the outdoors; also a nice day to cause some trouble.
The Skarmory nodded in response, looking up towards the sky. There was a bag in his beak, with stolen contents from a nearby shop. They needed to eat and all, and they didn't exactly have the money to purchase food. Besides, stealing was always more exciting than buying it, and Juliette lived for excitement. They had retreated into an alleyway till the chase was up. The authorities probably would be informed of her actions, but she wasn't too concerned; her Skarmory could fend off anyone.
"Tch, none of those fools could beat us, they're all so weak."
Juliette commented, peering out of the alleyway. Calista, her Meowth, was perched on her shoulder, with droopy eyes. She wasn't too keen about all this action, the cat Pokemon just wanted to sleep. Turning to face the Skarmory, Juliette looked into the steel bird's eyes.
"Shall we move on? This place is starting to bore me."
The female added, taking the bag from her Skarmory's mouth. Perhaps they could find somewhere quiet where they could enjoy their meal in peace, since around here, someone from the military would probably try to start a conflict with her. Finally, the female climbed on the back of her bird Pokemon, and he took flight into the air.
Juliette's eyes scanned the area below for a secluded place to relax. She could see some military members on the ground, so she would have to steer clear of them. It wasn't long before she spotted an area just outside of town; a simple collection of trees away from the city life.
Once they landed, Juliette climbed off of the Skarmory, and inhaled a deep breath of crisp air. This seemed like the perfect place to relax for a bit; who would come here to bother her?

I'm more than a bird, I'm more than a plane, I'm more than some, pretty face, beside a train...
Why, Tessa would, of course. She too, had just recently stolen some nice little trinkets. Of course, she'd had to make a quick get away, and had soared into the open sky on Kazane. She'd always loved riding the bird Pokemon ever since it first evolved into Pidgeotto. It was a very fast Pokemon, and she was proud to call Kazane her's. Only good thing her parents had ever really got her.
The bag of necklaces, bracelets, and a few precious gems jingled at her waist as the wind whipped her silver hair behind her. She'd safely secured her matching cloak earlier, though it still flapped noisily in the wind. She noticed the clearing beneath her, and pointed down, making sure that Kazane could see her finger. He glanced down, before giving a sharp nod and coasting down to the ground.
She had of course caught site of the other person in the field, but she didn't really mind her. Until she noticed the Skarmory. She grinned, a delightful thought formulating in her head. She slid off Kazane's saddle, keeping one hand on her to keep her in place. She let out a loud cry and shifted her feet, thankful to have the extra baggage off.
"Ahoy, ye' fancy a battle?"

From the bag, Juliette pulled out a couple of berries. Of course, her Pokemon needed to be fed first, as without them, she wouldn't be very successful with her shenanigans. One large berry would suffice for the small Meowth, but she had to feed the Skarmory several for his larger body. With a satisfied grin, Juliette retrieved some berries of her own, and just as she was about to take a bite from one, another person's voice echoed in the field. The noise startled her, causing her to drop the berry and look up. Nearby was a shady-looking woman with a large bird like hers. A Pidgeot, hmm? How interesting, she hadn't seen too many of those under the possession of a person. Also, this woman wasn't wearing the typical military attire, so clearly she wasn't apart of that waste of a group.
"Eh? Look at what you've made me done!"
The redhead snapped a bit, glancing at the berry below her that now had patches of dirt on it. Gross. Shfting her eyes back up to the other female, it was easy to see that she was a pirate. Well, this was an interesting surprise. Hearing the jingling in the bag attached to the other suggested that she was no novice at this either.
"A battle, you say? That would be... fun."
Juliette finally responded, with a devious grin. The Skarmory beside her was glaring at the Pidgeot with cold eyes; he could put that other bird down with ease. The Meowth was oblivious to the tension that was building; she was resting her eyes after eating that berry. The female put her own bag of goodies away and took a step forward. Sure, this opponent looked a little intimidating, but Juliette had trained Aquila for years, so she knew what strength brewed within the Steel Pokemon.
"One on one sound fine to you? Bird against bird?"
The question came as Juliette crossed her arms. The other female might of had more Pokemon on her, but at the moment, the redhead was only interested in battling the Pidgeot her opponent possessed. At least this would be more entertaining than fighting off those lame military members and their weak Pokemon.

"Off with your head, Dance till your dead, Heads will roll, heads will roll, heads will roll, On the floor..." Oh, it was her fault that the woman was clumsy enough to drop the berry? Tessa arched an eyebrow, not really appreciating the comment. She shouldn't have been so surprised, Tessa wasn't even trying to creep up on her. What kind of pirate could she be if she couldn't even keep a good look out on her surroundings? So, she said nothing as the woman stood. Kazane glanced at the Skarmory with a cool gaze. She did not return the glare he was giving her, instead merely ruffling her feathers and preening them once more.
Tessa grinned at her suggestion. Oh, how wonderful. A chance to show off her skills to her fellow pirates. She patted Kazane's downy feather's, keeping her eye on the woman in front of her. She seemed a bit more fiery than Tessa, but there was something so eerily similar about the other woman. Perhaps it was the dangerous aura that oozed off of her, much like it did Tessa. This was going to be an exciting battle.
"I wouldn' have it an' other way."
Kazane dipped her head down, and Tessa easily slipped into position, her feet slipping through the straps and gripping the hump at the front. She looked majestic and splendid upon her beautiful Pokemon. The illusion was broken by her confident grin. She gripped it tightly, giving her opponent one last look while Kazane spread her wings. They were soaring into the sky a second later, and Tessa leaned forward, flattening herself against her Pokemon.
"Let's start this off with a Tail Wind Kazane, then a Feather Dance."
Giving a furious shake of her tail, Kazane's speed dramatically improved as she wheeled about to find her opponent. She flapped her wings and spread feather's through the air. Not only would that would lower his attack, but it created a great cover for Kazane and her trainer. Tessa wouldn't reveal the move that would bring about the win of this battle just yet. No, let her have a little fun first.

Their opponents seemed rather relaxed and calm about the situation, suggesting that they had been through a lot of battles before. Clearly this battle would be more challenging than the fights they had recently, which would be a nice change of pace. As the other female got on the back of her Pidgeot, Juliette set the Meowth down on the ground. This was not a fight for the new cat Pokemon, so she would have to wait on the ground while the battle took to the sky.
"Maybe next time, Calista."
Juliette spoke, looking at the Meowth who didn't seem to care that she was being excluded from the battle. All the Pokemon did was curl up into a loose ball and fall asleep. With a shrug, the redhead glanced over at the Skarmory with a grin. Well, this was their time to shine!
The pirate climbed upon her Skarmory's back, and the steel bird flapped his sharp wings, lifting off the ground. Already, the opponent's orders were being issued, so there was hardly any time to devise a plan.
"Aquila, use Agility to loosen yourself up, then get in there and use Steel Wing!"
Juliette told the bird as she wrapped her arms around his neck to keep herself on him. She didn't have no saddle or anything fancy for flying on her Skarmory; she didn't see it as necessary. Gear like that would only irritate her Pokemon, and besides, she could stay on her Pokemon with ease anyways.
With the order, Aquila relaxed as the Tail Wind was brought on. With a calm mind, the Skarmory felt faster and more prepared to fight back. A loud caw burst out of his beak as he swooped against the wind. Unfortunately, he was caught in the Featherdance, which made his body feel a bit weaker. This would not discourage him though as he pushed forward; his wings began to glow brightly. His sharp eyes locked on the Pidgeot, and he aimed to smash that bird in the chest with his Steel Wing attack.

"One night in bangkok makes the hard man humble, Not much between despair and ecstasy, One night in Bangkok makes the tough guys tumble, Can't be too careful with your company, I can feel the devil walking next to me... "
The Skarmory and his trainer made their way easily through the field of downy feathers. Tessa couldn't say she was surprised. Skarmory was a bird, with sharper sight than his human, and he didn't need her to see. However, neither did Kazane. She twisted, and the Skarmory hit his mark, sending the pair soaring backwards through the sky, before Kazane manged to catch herself. Well, this was certainly getting interesting. Tessa smiled wickedly, and decided to have a momentary lapse of serious fighting. She lowered her weight and Kazane darted through the air, slipping past the Skarmory, inviting him to a sudden race. Whether he follow or not, Kazane continued on, suddenly dropping into a nose dive. She quickly pulled out of her decent a few feet off the ground, before soaring back into the air.
"Show 'em your heat wave." Tessa's words were soft, spoken so low that she doubted for a second that Kazane even heard her. But she needn't have worried. Kazane released the fire type move, and Tessa smirked. Anticipating a dodge, she quickly directed her Pokemon higher.
"Hurricane!"
Kazane let out a ferocious cry as she slapped her wings against the air, the wind suddenly picking up, and whipping into a massive miniature hurricane. No where near as big as the ones that would occur out on the ocean, but large enough to envelope the Skarmory and his trainer.
[sorry for the late reply. Went on vacation, and then got distracted by finals.]
